ShowStoppers Concludes Press Event at E3

Jun 23, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- More than 250 journalists, bloggers, industry analysts and venture capitalists went hands on with the newest video games, gaming rigs, computer consoles and entertainment software at ShowStoppers, an independent press event during E3, a tradeshow for the videogame and entertainment industries.

According to a release, ShowStoppers @ E3 kicked off with a 30-minute press conference, produced by ShowStoppers, by WeMade Entertainment. With 200 million existing users of "the Legend of Mir 2," the Korean developer and publisher pulled back the curtain on an ambitious range of new mobile games for iOS and Android users, including "Project Dragon," designed for 5,000 concurrent players per server. "Swinging for the fences," as reported, with more than 100 journalists taking notes, WeMade previewed eight massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) to be released within the next 12 months, with more coming, that integrate gaming and social networking, "so that players will never have to play alone." The invitation-only ShowStoppers press event featured more than a dozen companies, including Aurasma, AVerMedia, Boldai, Elgato, Escort, G5, HP, Kingston, Maximum Games, Mionix, MoCA, Samsung and WeMade.

"This was an intimate, intense event," said Dave Leon, partner, ShowStoppers. "We kept the focus on a select number of companies and helped journalists to quickly discover more news to cover." The next ShowStoppers events after E3 are: -The Opening Night CEA LineShow Preview Event, 26 June 2012 in New York the official press event of CE Week and the CEA LineShow. A new press event sponsored by the CEA LineShow, CEA Research Summit, Pioneer, ShowStoppers and Women in CE, hosted by the LineShow.
