BRIEF: BCSN names student, teacher of the yearMay 14, 2012 (The Blade - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Alyse Krausz and Katie Peters were named the student of the year and the teacher of the year, respectively, today at Buckeye Cable Sports Network's sixth annual scholarship awards dinner at the Pinnacle in Maumee. Krausz, a senior at Notre Dame Academy, receives a $16,000 scholarship that can be applied to tuition, on-campus room and board, fees and books. The scholarship is awarded in increments of $4,000 annually, provided the student maintains a 3.0 grade-point average and is enrolled as a full-time student each year. Krausz plans to study biomedical engineering at Ohio State University.
