CSIRO wins Wi-Fi actionApr 01, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- CSIRO will receive $A220 million after settling with US companies over licensing of its wireless local area network technology. Scientists at the Australian research agency invented the technology in the 1990s. In 2009, cases against 14 companies using the technology without a license were settled for $A205 million.
