Active Network Forms Alliance with Professional Convention Management AssociationDec 27, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Active Network has formed a strategic alliance with the Professional Convention Management Association, serving as both an event sponsor and PCMA's official technology provider for its events. "We are excited to partner with Active Network and utilize its robust event technology to not only provide a seamless event experience for PCMA members at all of our events, but also to have greater insight and intelligence in our reporting and metrics," said Deborah Sexton, president and CEO of PCMA, in a release. As part of this alliance, Active Network is providing an integrated event technology solution for PCMA's conference, Convening Leaders, in January 2012 which will tether all elements of event management and engagement technology into a single platform. Active Network is providing a suite to support Convening Leaders including online and onsite attendee registration, a social networking platform for events, and a mobile event app available for download. Active Network executives will share insights on how to run successful meetings by employing the latest digital technologies at the PCMA Learning Lounge's DigitalU Hub at the co-located Virtual Edge Summit in San Diego Jan. 9-11.
