The cases were filed in U.S. District Court in Rochester, N.Y., as well as the U.S. International Trade Commission, which oversees trade disputes. February 2010: The trade commission agrees to investigate Kodak's complaint. April 2010: In a counterclaim filed with the ITC, Apple argues that some Kodak still and video camera products violate two of its patents. January 2011: Paul Luckern, the commission's chief administrative law judge, rules that Apple and RIM did not violate Kodak's patent. March 2011: The agency's full six-judge panel agrees to review Luckern's decision. June 2011: The commission sends the case back to Luckern for further review.
