3i-MIND's Drive into Global Security Market Attracts Former Director of NCIS and White House Chief Security Officer to its Executive Team

NEW YORK & ORLANDO, Fla. --(Business Wire)--

3i-MIND, the global leader in threat management technology, today announced the appointment of two new executives. Thomas A. Betro, the former Director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), was named Vice President of 3i-MIND's Global Law Enforcement practice, and John A. Gill, the former Chief Security Officer at the White House, was named Vice President of 3i-MIND's Global Agency Practice. These two executives - well-known experts in intelligence gathering, criminal investigation and counter-terrorism- will help support the company's growth and expansion into the global security market.

"With the appointments of Thomas and John, 3i-MIND gains two established leaders in the intelligence and law enforcement communities that will help guide the company's expansion into the global security market with our threat management technology," said Yali Harari, CEO of 3i-MIND. "Today, we're at a critical juncture in the security market where sophisticated threats can no longer be adequately addressed with conventional intelligence software. Our proven threat management technology is focused on enabling law enforcement authorities and intelligence agents to predict, prevent and prepare for threats before they happen." In his new role, former Director Betro will be responsible for creating business development strategies to enhance market share in the law enforcement and intelligence. In addition, he will serve as a senior advisor to the CEO on global law enforcement market requirements, while handling daily corporate interface with clients in that area. During his time as Director of the NCIS, Betro oversaw more than 2,700 civilian and military personnel with a presence in 41 countries and 160 locations worldwide.

Prior to that position he served as the acting National Counterintelligence Executive (NCIX) where he was the President's principal advisor on counterintelligence matters. With more than 28 yeas within the security and intelligence industries, Betro has held several high-ranking positions within the NCIS and the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive. Starting his career as a special agent, he has an extensive track record in security operations, and was honored with the prestigious Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive in 2007.

"3i-MIND has invested heavily in developing the most sophisticated technology I have seen for not only identifying consequential abnormalities and meaningful insights into threats, but helping authorities visualize the data in a criminal investigation," said Betro. "Today, officers are expected to solve crimes faster and get ahead of a new breed of threats like attacks on infrastructure or natural disasters that have the capacity to impair government functions. My experience on the front lines of law enforcement investigations has proven how vital this technology is to predicting these new threats in a timely fashion and I'm looking forward to delivering this assistance to officers within my new role at 3i-MIND."

John Gill joins the company as its Vice President, Global Agency Practice. In his new position he will be responsible for creating business development strategies to enhance market share in the federal agency arena. Gill served as the Chief Security Officer at the White House. In that role, he led the development, implementation and management of the security policies and programs for the White House and the multiple components of the Executive Office of the President.

Prior to his role as Chief Security Officer at the White House, Gill had a distinguished 24-year career with the United States Secret Service. During that time he held several key positions within the protective, investigative and intelligence missions of the agency, as well as senior management appointments within the offices of Public Affairs and Congressional Affairs. In addition, he was assigned as the Attaché in Paris, France. During this appointment, he was responsible for direct operational and diplomatic coordination with representatives at the highest levels of the European security and intelligence directorates.

"Standing on the front lines in the battle to ensure national security and reinforce defense activities, intelligence and security agencies must be equipped with the most reliable and relevant threat information," said Gill. "Agencies using 3i-MIND's threat management technology will be able to identify and share threats faster and more effectively, despite the fact that they're often working with incomplete information. It is the only solution I've seen that not only identifies relevant anomalies, patterns and insights into threats, but is able to simulate agency responses and propose actionable next steps."
