ZyXEL Communications has unveiled a HomePlug AV product line.

Debuting the line at the recent CES event, ZyXEL brought it all
together in the theme of "A day in the life with ZyXEL," illustrating
how throughout the day ZyXEL's solutions enable easy access to digital
content, HD video, pictures, music and more throughout the home, and
work and on the road.

ZyXEL spotlighted its new HomePlug AV digital media adapter and the
only ADSL2+ Gateway with Powerline and Wi-Fi built in, a CES
Innovations Award honoree. In addition, ZyXEL showcased its mobile
WiMAX products that bring 3G connectivity to consumers at home and on
the go.

"Our solutions simplify connectivity for consumers," said Munira
Brooks, senior vice president of sales, marketing and business
development for ZyXEL. "Regardless of location or time of day, we make
the process of getting and staying connected easy, and we do it with
the most comprehensive line of HomePlug AV, WiMAX and VoIP products
available."

For simplifying connectivity throughout the digital home, ZyXEL noted,
it provides home networking, storage and entertainment solutions that
enable everyone to store, share and enjoy all their music, videos,
files and photos. The company said the connection starts with the
industry's only ADSL2+ gateway with built-in Powerline and Wi-Fi, the
P660HWP, or ZyXEL's HomePlug AV wireless router, the NBG318S.
Connection is spread throughout the home through ZyXEL's HomePlug AV
Ethernet adapters, the PLA400, the PLA401 and an adapter with a built
in 4-port switch, the PLA470. Connectivity can be enhanced wirelessly
throughout the digital home, using ZyXEL's HomePlug AV wireless access
point, the PLA450. Massive files containing HD content can be stored,
protected with RAID technology and retrieved from ZyXEL's NSA220
storage appliance, and streamed to the home entertainment center
through their DMA1100P, the first digital media adapter with built-in
HomePlug AV Powerline technology.
