Interop Technologies to Offer AdaptiveMobile Parental and Enterprise Controls

(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology
solutions, and AdaptiveMobile, a supplier of unified customer
protection for individuals and enterprises, have signed an agreement
enabling Interop to distribute AdaptiveMobile software to wireless
operators around the world.

Under the agreement with AdaptiveMobile, Interop Technologies will help
operators protect underage subscribers against mobile Internet content
that their parents consider inappropriate. Parental controls can be
configured for family members based on an individual's age, interests
and hobbies, and religious and cultural preferences, as well as time of
day (such as during school hours), and other criteria. Enterprise
controls will help business customers extend corporate security
policies to mobile devices, which may encourage distribution of
company-paid handsets and data cards to employees.

The AdaptiveMobile software is being deployed as a hosted solution that
works with the Interop Technologies WAP Gateway or any third-party WAP
gateway.

The content filtering solution does not affect voice calling including
callbacks from 911 operators to wireless users.

"The AdaptiveMobile solution is an important part of our ongoing
commitment to help operators generate revenue from content that
customers demand," said John Dwyer, CEO of Interop Technologies. "At
the same time, we will help protect customers and assure operators'
reputations by safeguarding network infrastructure and services."

"We are delighted to work with Interop Technologies to offer a fully
integrated and configurable content filtering solution for businesses
and consumers," said Lorcan Burke, CEO of AdaptiveMobile. "By providing
flexible protection, Interop and AdaptiveMobile are ensuring that
wireless customers gain the benefits of the mobile Internet without
being exposed to the risks."

During the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment tradeshow Oct. 23-25,
Interop Technologies exhibited at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
