EarthLink and TMone Partner to Promote VoIP Services

EarthLink has teamed up with Iowa-based TMone, a VoIP customer acquisition firm, to promote the ISP’s Internet voice products, including VoIP-based trueVoice, DSL and Home Phone Service. Via the agreement, TMone, a specialist in telesales and database marketing, will provide sales support for EarthLink’s voice products.

 

“Increasing consumer awareness of the advantages and benefits of Internet voice is one of EarthLink’s priorities,” noted Staci Parker, vice president of EarthLink Sales. “We chose TMone to help build that awareness and drive consumer adoption because of the company’s experience in marketing new technologies.”

 

EarthLink’s voice product offerings include trueVoice VoIP, which requires an ATA to connect calls made on a regular phone; as well as EarthLink DSL and Home Phone Service, which bundles broadband with an Internet phone service powered and carried through legacy telephone lines to the consumer’s home. Both services feature enhanced voicemail, call forwarding, call waiting, call blocking, caller ID, enhanced 911 and myVoice portal for managing calls online.

 

For this project, TMone agreed to use its proprietary broadband subscriber database to reach out to consumers about the EarthLink’s trueVoice product line’s features. TMone’s sales teams will offer bundled voice and data packages to potential customers.

TMone is also working to promote 8x8’s (News - Alert) Packet8 residential and business Internet-based phone service offerings. TMone partnered with 8x8 to offer the VoIP service provider with inbound/outbound call center services, database marketing, direct mail, e-mail and Internet-based marketing for all of the company’s residential, VideoPhone and Virtual Office small business systems.
