AVX (News - Alert) Corporation has developed a new software product library for Agilent’s Advanced Design System, which is an electronic design automation software tool for radio frequency (RF) product developers.

The software library is designed to help RF developers generate complex system and circuit designs more quickly for products such as cellular and wireless phones, pages, and radar/satellite systems.

“To assist design engineers and ultimately simplify and speed up the design process, we have created a library of AVX parts that work in conjunction with Agilent's ADS software,” AVX senior field applications engineer Larry Eisenberger said in a statement. “This library enables our customers to perform diagnostics on circuit designs before the manufacturing process, saving time and money.”

The library is equipped with simulation technology that helps developers fully optimize their designs. An integrated design environment includes system and circuit simulators, schematic capture, layout, and verification capabilities. This eliminates inefficiency associated with changing design tools mid-cycle.

AVX corporation is a manufacturer of electronic, passive components and connectors—including capacitors, resistors, filters, and time/circuit protection devices/connectors. The company operates 20 facilities in 12 countries.
