Now a lie-detector with your Skype phone calls

(Evening Standard Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) SKYPE, which made free PC-to-PC phone calls a global phenomenon, is to offer users a built-in lie-detector. The new paidfor KishKish device, which also includes voicemail, comes courtesy of Londonlisted Israeli telecoms equipment maker BATM Advanced Communications which for years has made high-speed internet switches for the world's big computer companies. The lie-detector will work, BATM claims, by analysing "audio streams over a Skype call in real time and illustrating the stress levels of the other person during the conversation". Skype's new owner, eBay, is investing heavily in paid-for add-ons for Skype users after buying it for $2.6 billion from founders Niklas Zennstrm and Janus Fris.
