Audible(R) Available for New Palm Treo 680 Smartphone


WAYNE, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBL; www.audible.com), the leading provider of spoken entertainment, information, and education on the Internet, today announced that the new Palm(R) Treo(TM) 680 is compatible with the Audible service. The Treo 680 will ship with a free trial of the AudibleListener(R) membership program for new users, and Audible software on the Treo 680 installation CD.



This means that Treo 680 customers are able to try the Audible service and wirelessly download Audible audio titles using Audible(R)Air, the innovative service that allows the automated wireless download of Audible's audio files to smartphones. Audible customers can effortlessly bypass connecting to a desktop computer and program their Audible audio to be delivered wirelessly.(1) Users of the Treo 680 also have the flexibility of transferring their Audible audio titles while the Treo 680 is connected to users' personal computers.

The AudibleAir user interface for the Treo 680 has easy to use five-way navigation. AudibleAir also includes bookmarking, support for skins, vacation mode and a new installer that allows for over-the-air or PC-based installation. AudibleAir version 3.0 will be available to the general public by November 30 at www.audible.com/audibleair.
