Qwest Communications signs USD3.8m agreement with Willamette Dental

(Tele.com Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) A three-year data networking and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) contract worth USD3.8m has been signed by Qwest Communications International Inc (NYSE:Q), a communications services provider.

Qwest signed the agreement with Willamette Dental, a managed dental care provider offering dentistry at office locations in Oregon, Idaho and Washington state.

Qwest will use its iQ Networking wide-area network service to connect 69 Willamette Dental locations, acting as the company's sole network provider for voice and data services.

According to Qwest its iQ Networking service will enable the dental care provider to better manage call volumes and to transfer substantial quantities of data via the network.

Willamette Dental currently uses VoIP to transfer calls to its call centre, from which it manages customer requests.
