Flash data storage card supplier SanDisk has chosen CellStar Corporation for distributing its extensive range of flash memory cards. CellStar will distribute the entire SanDisk product line as well as Sansa MP3 music players.

CellStar will manage the network of U.S. wireless operators, dealers and retailers.

“Our extensive network of carriers, dealers and resellers are very excited about being able to offer customers these premier SanDisk memory products,” said Maria Hernandez, U.S. region vice president and general manager at CellStar.

Memory cards are extensively used in handsets such as music phones, television-capable phones, pocket PCs and PDAs. The storage devices help customers store and send pictures.

SanDisk recently introduced a massive capacity card for cellphones called the 4GB SanDisk miniSDHC card. The card has the speed and capacity required to support storage-intensive applications such as digital imaging, music and video record/playback functions in addition to mobile television and videogames. The great thing about the 4GB SanDisk miniSDHC card is that it can store over 2,000 high-resolution pictures, in excess of 1,000 digital songs and up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video.

Thanks to the 4GB SanDisk miniSDHC card, consumers now have the option to enhance their memory options.

CellStar Corporation provides logistics and distribution services to the wireless communications industry. The company has operations in North America and Latin America.
