Allworx Announces the 24x VoIP System for Small & Medium Businesses; Integrated T1/PRI Based Telephony System Delivers the Industry's Most Comprehensive Feature Set, at the Industry's Lowest Price For Up to 100 Users

FAIRPORT, N.Y. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 12, 2006 -- Allworx, the Small Business VoIP Company, today announced the general availability of the Allworx 24x, a multi-faceted business communications system designed to support small and medium businesses with up to 100 users. The 24x combines a full-featured phone system, with simultaneous support for T1/PRI, FXO, and VoIP trunking options, to address all of a company's communications needs.

"There are four clear differentiators that separate the Allworx 24x from any VoIP system targeting the SMB market," said Sandra Gault, Principal/EVP of Marketing for Allworx. "The 24x has the absolute lowest installed cost of any full-featured VoIP PBX/Key-system; it provides the richest SMB feature set available; it's extremely easy to install and use; and it provides the flexibility to enable small- and medium-sized businesses to transition risk-free to VoIP at their own pace."

The installed price point for the 24x is approximately $450 per seat, which in many cases is less than half the cost of comparable T1-based offerings. Complementing this price point is the most comprehensive feature set of any VoIP solution on the market today. A partial listing of Allworx 24x features includes: true PBX and key system functionality including DSS/BLF and line appearances; multiple conference call bridges; comprehensive call queuing options; voice mail; auto attendants; remote users; multi-site calling functions, plus an integrated PC router and firewall. For a complete list of features, please see www.allworx.com.

The 24x is designed with multiple built-in connections that enable customers to migrate to VoIP at their own pace, as their business grows. The 24x supports traditional CO lines, T1/PRI circuits for voice, and Ethernet or T1 connections for ISP data services. This combination enables companies to reduce the amount of equipment on their network, because the Allworx 24x can replace as many as six devices by integrating telephony, email, and Web in a single appliance that is easy to install, configure, and manage.

"T1/PRI lines are becoming affordable to the point where small businesses or departmental work groups can afford them, yet the telephony systems that reside on these networks have yet to follow this pricing trend," said Jeff Szczepanski CTO for Allworx. "The 24x brings all the capabilities that businesses with up-to 100 employees need - at a price point that is simply unrivaled in the industry."

As the newest member of the Allworx product family, the 24x builds upon the architecture of the recently announced Allworx 6x, but expands the solution to the T1 environment. As a result, the Allworx 6x, and the 24x help small and medium businesses find a tailored VoIP solution for either CO lines or T1 lines.

Pricing and Availability:

The Allworx 24x is available immediately. Pricing starts at under $4,000 for 24 users, and can grow to 100 users with an average fully installed price of $450 per user.
