AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 11, 2006 -- Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. (NYSE:FSL) (NYSE:FSL.B), a global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded semiconductors for wireless, networking, automotive, consumer and industrial markets, said today that it is in discussions with parties relating to a possible business transaction.
