Global Crossing will offer MySpace.com Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) services. Under the new multi-year agreement, Global Crossing will connect four of the social networking community's North American facilities through its MPLS-based DIA service.

"MySpace is a prime example from the growing enterprise market our network was designed to serve," said Global Crossing's CEO John Legere in a statement on Monday. "We're pleased to support the MySpace community to ensure their growing bandwidth needs are met quickly and reliably."

Global Crossing's DIA provides always-on, direct high-speed global Internet connections at speeds ranging from 56/64 Kbps to OC48/STM16, as well as Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and even 10-Gigabit Ethernet.

Today's news follows Global Crossing's announcement last Thursday about Chilean meat and fresh products producer Agrosuper extending its relationship with the technology company. Agrosuper had implemented Global Crossing's Managed IP VPN Service to support the company's continued global expansion last year.

The renewed agreement calls for Global Crossing to extend the Managed IP VPN Service to now incorporate interconnectivity in Spain in addition to connecting Agrosuper's offices in Chile, Mexico, the United States, Italy and Japan. Agrosuper's Spain implementation is planned to be completed this September.
