Vint Cerf, Co-Founder of the Internet, To Deliver the Keynote


WHAT: This week, at the Telecommunications & Computer Networking Conference (http://www.mtug.org/conferenceMenu.asp), members of the New England telecommunications community will have the opportunity to attend a joint presentation by Dimension Data, a global technology company, and Banknorth North America entitled, "Trends & Technologies: What’s Hot & What’s Not – Reorganizing for Greater Productivity.” In addition, Vint Cerf, recipient of the U.S. National Medal of Technology for co-designing of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet, will be the keynote speaker, providing an insider’s look at how the Internet will continue to revolutionize Maine, across the country and around the world.




Kurt Mey, customer interactive solutions specialist for Dimension Data North America (http://www.didata.com), will discuss new process methodologies and emerging trends for improved contact center efficiency and increased capabilities. Drawing on his vast call center management experience in both the newspaper and financial services industries, Jon Cogswell, senior vice president and manager of direct banking for Banknorth, will identify and discuss opportunities to optimize call center productivity. Cogswell will also share best practices for revitalizing business functions and generating positive, tangible results in a variety of call center environments.
