[February 19, 2004] NexTone Joins ITXC VoIPLink Ready Program ITXC Corp.(R) (NASDAQ:ITXC) and NexTone Communications, the leading provider of session controllers for secure peering of packet networks, today announced that NexTone has joined ITXC's VoIPLink Ready(TM) program to provide its carrier customers off-the-shelf VoIP interoperability with ITXC.net(R), one of the world's largest international voice networks. VoIP networks using the NexTone Multiprotocol Session Controller (MSC) 2.06 or higher can now quickly and reliably use ITXC's VoIPLink(TM) service for international call exchange.Under the program, ITXC and NexTone will continue to work together to ensure networks using NexTone's VoIP infrastructure products will be immediately ready to use ITXC's VoIPLink direct VoIP interconnection service for international calling via ITXC.net. ITXC and NexTone will also cooperate in marketing and selling their complementary VoIP service and VoIP product solutions in select markets. The NexTone MSC is a proven carrier class solution that provides carriers with advanced call routing and call admission control (CAC) capabilities needed to effectively interconnect carrier networks. The NexTone MSC provides programmable routing intelligence, including call route hunting and an ENUM client, for maximum network scale and service reach. The advanced routing capabilities of the NexTone MSC also support comprehensive call detail records. Additionally the NexTone MSC provides the ability to enforce CAC policies centrally to govern capacity and traffic rates for the ingress/egress point to the network. Recently, ITXC announced the general availability of its VoIPLink service which enables VoIP-based service providers to use VoIP to connect to ITXC.net for high quality, low cost-per- minute call exchange with every traditional and IP phone in the world.
