SALESNET FORGES OEM PARTNERSHIP TO MARKET ONLINE CRM TO 137,000 MEDIA SALES PROFESSIONALS

Salesnet’s Private Label Online CRM Edition Front-Ends
Encoda’s Traffic Management And Billing Software

Boston, MA – Nov. 17, 2003 — Salesnet, the provider of online CRM software specializing in sales process solutions, and Encoda Systems, the leading global supplier of sales, traffic, programming, and financial systems for the cable and broadcasting industries, today announced a strategic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership. Under the new partnership, Salesnet’s private label online CRM application has been integrated into Encoda’s MediaExec CRM software system and will be marketed to 137,000 sales professionals in Encoda’s existing worldwide customer base.

“We are the first and only online CRM solution to offer a private label edition and our partnership with Encoda is unlike anything yet announced by any provider,” explained Mike Doyle, chairman and CEO of Salesnet. “It’s an exciting time for the online CRM industry and by forging unique OEM partnerships, we are aggressively, smartly, and quickly expanding the scope of our distribution.”

The integration of Salesnet’s front-end application and Encoda’s back-office system enables media sales professionals to access a 360-degree view of customer and account data. Salesnet’s application syndication strategy makes it easy for partners like Encoda to rapidly integrate Salesnet into their own product offering.

“We were seeking a highly-effective method to rapidly provide a turnkey CRM solution that could be fully integrated into our back-office system,” explained John Sorensen, president of Encoda Systems’s Broadband division. “By leveraging Salesnet’s platform, we can bring an integrated front- and back-office solution to market much faster than if we had partnered with a licensed software provider. By integrating Salesnet into our system, we have created an additional competitive advantage for our customers – they can more effectively sell advertising space as they now have a complete view of account history details and interactions.”

Also announced today was Salesnet’s vertical market and application syndication strategy, [See also Salesnet First To Syndicate Online CRM With Private Label Edition, Nov. 17, 2003]. Through the application syndication model, Salesnet’s online CRM solutions can be rapidly deployed by a partner and bundled into their own offering. Salesnet has relationships with several vertical OEM partners. The OEM partnership with Encoda is Salesnet’s first publicly announced OEM distribution relationship.
