WP8 Mobile Phone to Debut in China Next MonthBEIJING, Nov 23, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Greater China Vice President of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT and SEHK: 4338) stated that WP8 mobile phone would start selling in Chinese market next month. The vice president disclosed that some localized applications, such as Chinese speech recognition, would be added in the mobile phone. It is reported that manufacturers like Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK), Samsung Electronics, HTC Corporation and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. are actively preparing for the product launch. The vice president added that a batch of mobile phone manufacturers would join in WP8 camp next year. Currently, these are more than 50,000 Chinese developers developing about 40,000 local applications for WP8 mobile phones, thus Microsoft is looking forward to the performance of WP8 mobile phone in Chinese market. In response to WP7/7.5 smartphone users' disappointment in failing to upgrade the system into WP8, Microsoft once expressed that it would provide upgrading of WP7/7.5 system into WP7.8 one. These system editions will be launched in Chinese market the coming weeks. The vice president said that the two major editions would be launched in Chinese market in the meantime.
