Detroit, Dec 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- In an industry first, auto-maker General Motors has created the position of "Connected Customer Specialist," and hired a team of 25 twenty-somethings to help car owners connect their computers, tablets, cell phones and other technologies to the infotainment systems now available in Chevrolets, Cadillacs, Buicks and GMCs.

Hundreds of applicants were considered for the 25 positions allocated specifically to training and educating GM dealerships on the use of the MyLink, CUE and IntelliLink systems, which are capable of providing information, navigation, communication and entertainment. The new specialists will be deployed nationwide.
