Vecima Announces Full Availability of its DOCSIS® 4.0-Ready and 1.8 GHz 'Forever Nodes'Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX: VCM) announced today full availability of its DOCSIS® 4.0-ready and 1.8 GHz Entra® EN8400 and SC-2D4 nodes. Termed "Forever Nodes", they provide a clear and cost-effective path to 10G by protecting operators' investment in technology-forward networks as they prepare for DOCSIS® 4.0 and advanced passive-optical network (PON) deployments. At the 2022 CableLabs® 10G Showcase, Vecima hosted the world's first multivendor DOCSIS 4.0 demonstration to achieve 8.9 Gbps downstream and 6.2 Gbps upstream with 1.8 GHz Frequency Division Duplexing (FDD) and Remote MACPHY technology. In addition to a Vecima node, 1.8 GHz amplifiers and taps from industry partners were included. Vecima's Entra Access Nodes simplify upgrades from hybrid fiber coax (HFC) and Distributed Access Architectures (DAA), thanks to their interoperability and state-of-the-art design for all network applications today and in the future.
