Samsung Launch New Smart Phones in China


(SinoCast Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) BEIJING, Mar 08, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) --Samsung launched SGH-i718 smart phone into the Chinese market on March 6 after Microsoft released the operating system of Windows Mobile 6.0.

The phone of SGH-i718 is its first product based on Windows Mobile 5.0. And this phone adopts the processor of Intel XScale PXA270 and technology of Direct Push, with functions of MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile and Internet Explorer Mobile. Its selling price is about CNY 5,300 to CNY 5,500.



So far, the company has put out five styles of smart phone, of which two styles are based on Linux flat and another three styles are respectively based on Symbian S60, Palm OS and windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC Edition.

Samsung has participated in test of Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.0, and will continue to put out mobile phones based on Microsoft, said Zhou Xiaoyang, president of Samsung's wireless division in China.
