Part B Premium Givebacks, Comprehensive Dental Care, and Richer Pharmacy Coverage: SCAN Offers 'Gold Standard' in Medicare Advantage Benefits for 2022An array of health plans offered by SCAN to Medicare-eligible seniors in California, Arizona and Nevada will offer industry-leading, innovative benefits designed to support the health and independence of members at every stage of their lives. Among the many standard and supplemental benefits that SCAN will offer its Medicare Advantage members in the three states are Part B premium give-backs, reduced maximum out-of-pocket limits (MOOPs), comprehensive and robust dental care, low-cost prescription medications, and in-home technology support designed to get seniors online and in touch with their health providers. Beyond these extras, many SCAN plans include benefits that provide support in the home. These include medical alert systems, respite care for caregivers, and Returning to Home, a SCAN program that provides in-home care visits after a hospital or skilled nursing facility stay for things like bathing and dressing, as well as meal delivery. The Annual Enrollment Period for selecting a Medicare Advantage plan for 2022 runs Oct. 15-Dec. 07, 2021 for membership beginning Jan. 1, 2022. As of January 1, 2022, SCAN Health Plan will operate in 13 California counties including Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange (News - Alert), San Bernardino, San Diego, Ventura, Alameda, San Mateo, Sonoma, San Francisco, Napa, Stanislaus and Santa Clara. SCAN Health Plan (Nevada) will operated in Clark County, Nevada. SCAN Desert Health Plan will operate in Maricopa, Pima and Pinal counties in Arizona. SCAN Health Plans in California and Nevada and SCAN Desert Health Plan are HMO plan(s) with Medicare contracts. Enrollment in SCAN Health Plans and SCAN Desert Health Plan depend on contract renewal.
