Pactolus Creates New Professional Services and Education Organizations with Innovative Programs

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- July 26, 2006 --

New Programs and Curriculum Accelerate SIP and IMS-based Service Creation

Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, makers of the telecom industry's most broadly deployed and comprehensive VoIP applications portfolio, today announced the formation of its dedicated Professional Services and Education Services organizations. These organizations were created to serve the growing base of carriers and service providers deploying Pactolus' SIPware turnkey services and/or creating unique, highly-differentiating service applications with Pactolus' award-winning RapidFLEX(TM) Service Creation Environment (SCE) and Service Delivery Platform (SDP). The company today also introduced an innovative, interactive new education curriculum that simplifies mastery and retention of next generation IP service creation skills.

The RapidFLEX SDP is used by leading service providers such as Group of Gold Line, Teletek, XO and WebEx to rapidly, non-disruptively build and integrate innovative services and service enhancements. Pactolus' new curricula accelerate the development of distinctive SIP and IMS-based applications that can integrate existing subscriber databases, new content sources, and new service features incorporating presence and media richness. Courses can be completed at the participant's location or remotely over the Web.

Marcus L. Scott, M.ED and newly-appointed Senior Technical Trainer notes: "This curriculum is easily retained, and moves beyond instruction to provide our customers with the IP service creation confidence and skills depth to shape new generations of communications services."

RapidFLEX products have displaced pre-existing IP service frameworks in several top carriers, and are the foundation for approximately 100 revenue-generating services and service features, representing highly-scaled Tier 1 service applications that include custom interactive voice response, call center, audio conferencing, and other applications that integrate legacy TDM customer services and data bases into IP services frameworks.

Together, the power of the RapidFLEX SCE and the unique richness and feature flexibility of the full RapidFLEX architecture lets service providers simplify advanced call flow changes that incorporate SIP signaling. The new curriculum enables customers to take advantage of the industry's most powerful SCE through a palette of commonly used object components that leverage RapidFLEX's standardized APIs to implement high-value services.

Pactolus Founder and CTO David Horton notes: "We've seen customer demand accelerate significantly. These new organizations help our customers to efficiently leverage Pactolus' uniquely-powerful pure IP services framework and domain expertise, and bring innovation to the full range of end points, subscribers and networks that are now coming within the service provider's market reach."
