Morrison Cohen Expands Financial Services and Securities Litigation Practices with Addition of Ryan M. Wilson as a partner in the firm's business litigation department and its white collar and regulatory enforcement practice group. Wilson's practice focuses on complex commercial and financial litigation. He also advises and defends clients in connection with federal and state government investigations, criminal prosecutions, and enforcement actions and litigation, as well as internal investigations. Most recently a partner at Lowenstein Sandler LLP, Wilson has represented hedge funds, private equity firms, and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of commercial and criminal matters, with a particular focus on cases involving complex financial products, derivatives and securities. Wilson also has defendd clients in criminal and civil investigations by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the New York Attorney General's Office. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney on the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities Task Force in the Eastern District of New York from 2016-18, Wilson was one of the lead attorneys in the prosecution of Deutsche Bank AG for its conduct during the financial crisis, resulting in a landmark $7.2 billion settlement - the largest Department of Justice settlement involving the conduct of a single financial institution. Wilson received the Department of Justice Director's Award for this prosecution. He also led the prosecution of Deutsche Bank's former head of subprime trading - one of a handful of individual prosecutions resulting from the 2007-2009 financial crisis. Wilson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
