Earlier in her career, Herbek was an attorney at Fragomen. She has also published extensively and spoken on work authorization and immigration matters. Herbek graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a dual degree in French and International Studies and holds a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She also serves as a mentor for The Legal Diversity Mentoring Program's leadership council.
