Experts Discuss Verifying Voice Calls and Boosting Consumer Confidence in Communications

iconectiv (News - Alert):

In this era, when more than 70% of people have stopped answering voice calls, legitimate businesses need, want and deserve a way to have consumers know that a call is from a trusted calling party. Consumers want that, too. Thanks to industry collaboration, new efforts help verify caller information and restore consumer confidence in answering voice calls. These verification efforts extend to businesses that use more than one voice service provider or have others manage phone service on their behalf.

In this session, experts from CTIA, iconectiv and T-Mobile will explain how the recent Secure Telephone Identity Governance Authority (STI-GA) policy change is helping simplify the verification of voice calls-including toll-free numbers-for all legitimate callers. In addition to discussing the various ways calls can be verified, panelists also discuss Registered Caller™-the nation's industry-backed resource of vetted information that voice service providers can trust-and how it simplifies, streamlines and accelerates the verification process.

Panelist: Tom Sawanobori, CTO, CTIA (News - Alert)

Panelist: George Cray, Senior Vice President-Information Solution Products & Services, iconectiv

Panelist: Pierce Gorman, Principal Engineer Systems Architecture, T-Mobile (News - Alert)
