Although it’s not been verified, AT&T’s (News
- Alert) third and fourth-quarter release schedule shows several new devices being released on the network, including six Android phones.
According to information obtained by PocketNow, in addition to the Android (News - Alert) phones running Android 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 Gingerbread, the list includes two BlackBerry 7 devices and two Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices.
In the next few months, AT&T will reportedly release its new Android device, with Samsung (News - Alert) bringing the Galaxy S II Attain (i777) and i927 QWERTY slider. In addition, the list includes the Motorola MB865 “Fuath,” which has already been pictured as an Atrix-refresh-type device, PocketNow said, along with two Pantechs and a Huawei.
PocketNow said although it’s not on the AT&T map, likely devices to come include the HTC Holiday and Samsung i857 “Habrok,” as well as the already-announced Xperia Play. Missing from the list is LG, “which brought the Optimus One to AT&T last among the major carriers, and has yet to deliver the highly-anticipated, 3D-capable Thrill 4G,” PocketNow said.
In other AT&T news, AT&T debuted two 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) devices and one smartphone in the US on Aug. 21.The two devices, USBConnect Momentum 4G and Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G, are available at $49.99 and $69.99, respectively, with a two-year contract. The monthly data plan starts at $50 for 5GB with additional GB at $10. The devices will operate on both High-Speed Packet Access Plus (HSPA+) and LTE technology.
