Technology Improvements for Taking care of your Dog

The human and dog interaction has been around for ages. Regardless of how much the dog barks and causes annoyance, with time, man has somehow managed to understand the creature’s language.

But just imagine if you were away from home and received a text from your dog; how incredible that would be! Or what if you could watch your pet running around and playing from a home camera!

Technology has never failed to impress mankind. And now, it seems to be helping to make our pets happy too.

With improvements in technology, we can interact and understand our dog – their behaviour and what they want to say to us - in a more meaningful way, and can make them feel like we are physically present with them while being far away. This way we can ensure their better, safe, and healthy growth.  Did you know, for instance, that a dog diaper can help your pet live a better life? You can learn about dog diapers here.  Read on for more of the latest tech for dog friend:

Brain Games

If you think your puppy is a slow learner or seems to be responding to things around them with timidity, you need not worry. Each dog adapts in different ways. During puppyhood, games contribute to most of their learning. Brain games help develop the brain faster as your pet learns to think, and use their intelligence properly.

You can even set goals for them, and keep them on a set track. It’s always better never to force them to play more than they would want to, as this will mentally exhaust them.

Automatic Feeder

Since most of us lead lives with and unpredictable family, it is almost impossible to have anyone with tending to the dog on a day to day basis. In such a scenario, food then becomes a major issue. Adult dogs spend more time napping, as they have less of energy at this stage. Sometimes, they end up eating more than required when alone, which in turn leads to health imbalances.

But with an automatic feeder, you can open it when you know it’s time for your pet to refuel itself. It is programmed to open only when you want it to, and it serves the right amount of pre–measured food. If your dog is a fast eater, the automatic feeder is a great idea, as it is useful in providing small meals at short intervals, which won’t leave them dissatisfied.

If you have just one dog at home, you can even keep medicines for them that are disguised as cubes of cheese or other things.

Security Camera apps

We need to be eternally grateful to technology for coming up with such brilliant apps that help us in all possible ways. With the availability of multiple camera apps, you can now be sure about the safety of your dog when you leave them home alone since some find it difficult to do so. Specially for older dogs that require constant care and medication, you can easily check your app and be relieved.

The pet cam gives you live streaming of your dog on your laptop, computer or mobile. So there is nothing to be paranoid about when it comes to monitoring your senior kids.

Wi-Fi enabled camera

I am sure you miss playing or talking to your dog when you’re away from them. Monitoring them regularly is possibly not enough for you, for it doesn’t keep your buddy happy when they are alone. If this is you, then what you will need is a Wi-Fi enabled camera that allows you to communicate with your dog through playing games like, aiming lasers at stuff to entertain them.

There is also a smart ball for them to play with. The best part is, whilst they are playing with the ball, you can interact with them, allowing them to feel as though you are present.

Trackers

Most of our dogs have collars. But thanks to technology, these can now be smart, waterproof, and track the movement of wherever your little one goes. They are light and should not bother them. You could add ‘home’ in the settings, and if your pet goes beyond the given area, you’re quickly alerted.

You can also track their activity levels and health concerns with the information collected in the tracker.

So, voila! Technology yet again has your back, and allows you to have a peace of mind. But this doesn’t mean that you replace all your physical interaction with them..

Dogs are pack animals. They need physical and social interaction. Therefore make sure to make the most of your time with these adorable beings, instead of allowing the virtual world to take over.
