AWS VPC Solution vs Others

When it comes to managing networks and data for a business, there are plenty of ways in which you can go about it. After all, as technology continues to make leaps and bounds in this golden age of digital discovery, you can bet that business models are being created and adjusted to fit modern needs. In the current iteration of the business landscape, you have the flexibility and the ease of use of cloud services to help businesses manage their networks - a feat that has become increasingly difficult and inefficient to be handled in-house.

Fortunately, the aforementioned business models have created a brand-new system that is looking to trump them all - known as the Virtual Private Cloud. Whereas with a Virtual Private Network you could access another region’s data, a VPC allows a business to host all sorts of different applications without the security issues that often come with its contemporaries. As a matter of fact, with Aviatrix cloud networking and AWS VPC peering as a solution, you won’t have to worry about security as it uses an existing infrastructure instead of the network, dramatically minimizing its risk of failure.

Security right from the beginning

Unlike many other types of cloud solutions out there, the AWS VPC solution already comes with its own default system. It means that connectivity to VPN, VPS or even other VPCs will only be possible if specified on the current policy. With a powerful firewall to enforce the policy as well as encrypted links, companies can rest assured that security is not an issue when it comes to the Virtual Private Cloud solution. However, it doesn’t make that an excuse to be complacent. If you want to be able to protect your VPC from both internal and external attacks, focus and attention are still necessary.

A simplified cloud experience

Perhaps one of the biggest reasons for utilizing an AWS VPC would be because it’s one of the simpler types of networking out there. There was a time when an IT department would have an issue with the network, and all manner of problems would pop up - to the point where the system usually had to be taken down and completely reworked.

With the introduction of the cloud-based system it’s become less of an issue, but with the Virtual Private Cloud, it’s become even more streamlined and less tricky to manage. Troubleshooting no longer requires unreasonable amounts of time, and you’ll be able to switch the VPC on and off whenever you wish, offering flexibility that simply isn’t available anywhere else.

To conclude, while there are certainly advantages and disadvantages for utilizing the VPC solution, you’ll find that the pros far outweigh the cons - especially when it comes to the other available solutions out there. Most companies looking for a cloud-based system are searching for efficiency, ease of use and most important of all, security. The AWS VPC solution offers all of that and more and is a viable choice no matter how big or small your company is.
