Intellinote App Goes Far Beyond Jotting Down a Few Notes

By Ed Silverstein, TMCnet Contributor

Intellinote is a software app for taking notes on the Web, mobile device or even on a tablet.

But there is far more. The company has launched the intelligent note-taking, social collaboration and project management app for use on the Web or iOS operating system. An Android (News - Alert) OS version is being developed.

Now in beta version, the Intellinote app can be downloaded for free – for at least a few months – from the company’s website or an iPhone (News - Alert) app is offered by the App Store.

How did they come up with the idea for Intellinote?

“We were all fed up with the reliance on paper notes, phone calls, mass emails, endless meetings and complex, IT-driven systems that bog down workforce creativity, knowledge sharing and productivity,” Tony Lopresti, CEO of Intellinote, explained in a recent statement. “Intellinote organizes your digital work life to make it easier to get everything done. It’s the only application that allows people to instantly capture notes, files and other information, collaborate with colleagues, leverage information within existing business applications and seamlessly complete projects, all from within a Web browser or mobile device.”

One of its features is called Shared Workspaces. It provides a small version of a social network to avoid sending out many emails. Team members can follow a project as each person knows their own responsibilities. It also has Intelligent Knowledge Delivery. That provides such information as answers to questions, a list of company experts, and provides related knowledge. Also, it also has an “open API” so “external applications can share tasks, notes, projects, and other information with Intellinote to support an end-to-end business workflow,” PC World reported.

As of now, over 300 businesses of different sizes are using the app, according to the company’s website. There are many compliments.

“Since using Intellinote company-wide, I have seen a marked increase in productivity, organization, collaboration and knowledge sharing among my employees across the globe,” Marc Gonyea, CEO of MemoryBlue, said in a recent statement. “Intellinote provides visibility into everyone’s contributions; it fosters a culture of sharing and improves teamwork. With critical information at our fingertips, Intellinote has also helped us provide even better customer engagement, which has led to happier customers.”

Intellinote can be used by individuals, employee teams or companies to transform notes into action, the company adds.

“The convergence of social, mobile and cloud technologies, along with the adoption of consumer note-taking tools, make this the perfect time to rethink how work gets done in the enterprise,” Ron Glaz, a program director at IDC (News - Alert), said. “Intellinote’s new solution raises the bar a few notches higher, changing the playing field for everyone else in this space.”
