MIVNET Combines Hybrid Cloud and BYOD for Video Collaboration Solution

By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor

MIVNET is making some bold promises, with the release of the MIVNET Connect in efforts to merge the powers of cloud services and BYOD. With this, it aims to change the way people work with a first-of-its-kind video collaboration solution.

The MIVNET provides a user interface with a separate video “tile” for everyone in the chat, facilitating separate video streams that can be viewed, arranged and managed according to the user’s desires.

It can support up to 30 meetings at once on its 100 port MCU, and then expanded when needed.

Furthermore, participants can share any documents and presentations from their desktop computers as they please. It offers connectivity up to 1080p, with HD connectivity and scalability for the user’s data needs.

It’s very affordable, with credits available for purchase at just 25 cents per credit. It can also help save money by reducing capital expenditures for fixed infrastructure, while bridging legacy rooms to individual devices.

"As the first hybrid-cloud, high definition multipoint video collaboration solution, MIVNET leverages cloud connectivity to deliver the highest quality video meetings at low cost to any user, over any Windows, Mac or LINUX device, from any location with a broadband connection," said Mark Levy, managing director of MIVNET. "The universal reach of MIVNET Connect holds the potential to open new high-value revenue streams for established vide conference service providers, while giving users unprecedented functionality, flexibility and control."

There’s no denying that the cloud and BYOD are both big right now. By combining the both of them in this solution, MIVNET is definitely on to something. Its user interface is unique, and provides great control over each individual’s screen.

For companies with many employees using their own devices, this should be a great tool, and for those without, it’s still a fine campaign.
