Blueslice HSS Completes Interoperability with Motorola IMS

MONTREAL --(Business Wire)-- Blueslice Networks, the leading provider of multi-profile subscriber management solutions for the Mobile, VoIP, FMC, and M2M markets, announced today that it has completed interoperability testing of its Home Subscriber Server 3000(TM) with the Motorola IMS solution, including the Motorola Call Session Control Function (CSCF).

Motorola and Blueslice have successfully executed the testing and product evaluation necessary for a successful collaboration as part of Motorola's best of breed ecosystem. Having completed more than 16 years of multi-vendor core network integration, Motorola has developed a comprehensive IMS interoperability program and is dedicated to providing its customers with a best-of-the-best approach to IMS.

IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is clearly becoming the technology framework of choice for service providers of all domains, providing real time multimedia services, such as integrated voice and data, consistently across all access technologies. As such, IMS is the key to maximizing the potential of access technologies like WiMAX by enabling a seamless experience of voice, data, video, and multimedia.

The Blueslice HSS 3000(TM) integrates a next generation Home Location Register (HLR) with a state-of-the-art Home Subscriber Server into a converged subscriber profile management database. It can be used to manage subscriber data from GSM, UMTS/HSPA, or any network providing access to IMS services, such as WiMAX, TISPAN-based fixed lines, and cable networks. Built on the Blueslice Converged Subscriber Platform 3000(TM), it is integrated with a subscriber-centric Fixed Mobile Convergence solution, advanced roaming features, a flexible service profile creation toolkit, and an intuitive web craft interface (WebCI). The CSP 3000(TM) is a commercially available, field-proven product deployed in live networks by leading mobile carriers.

"The Blueslice ngHLR/HSS, with its unique multi-profile approach, is most aligned with current market dynamics," said Stephan Ouaknine, President and CEO of Blueslice Networks. "Mobile carriers are introducing WiFi/WiMAX and VoIP, VoIP providers are offering GSM, fixed operators are offering mobile, and cable companies are offering quadruple plays. The market for subscriber management has evolved, and no HLR/HSS vendor has evolved with it like Blueslice has."
