The partnership provides a self-service kiosk solution that enables electronic capture of customer's identification to be utilized for processing the ATF Form 4473 and NICS background checks. This electronic identification capture simplifies the process of applying for hunting and fishing licenses and for federal firearms purchases without sacrificing accuracy through manual insertion. Acuant's idScan gathers data from ID's and can auto-populate information into approved government forms, such as an ATF Form 4473, from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which must be filled out when a customer purchases firearms from a federally licensed dealer. ITouch Technology's kiosk application has been developed for use at Federal Firearm Licensed Dealers and offers Acuant's idScan for identification capture and population. In an effort to prevent fraud and assure accuracy, ITouch Technology can process accurate identification capture and Acuant's idScan solution also verifies customer government issued IDs.
