Informatica Adds Silicon Valley Veterans Eric Brown and Tracey Newell to Key Leadership Positions

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Informatica®, the enterprise cloud data management leader, today announced the appointments of Eric Brown to chief financial officer and Tracey Newell to president, global field operations. These two key leadership appointments further strengthen Informatica's executive team as the company continues to innovate and grow globally.

Brown brings more than two decades of experience across public and high-growth private companies and a wealth of expertise in subscription and hybrid business models. Brown joins Informatica from Machine Zone (MZ), a private real-time gaming, data and analytics company. Prior to MZ, Brown served in CFO and COO roles at McAfee,Polycom and Tanium, CFO of Electronic Arts, and as CFO and president of MicroStrategy.

As a member of Informatica's board of directors from June 2016 to June 2018, Newell brings a unique understanding of the company's direction and growth trajectory to the newly created role of president, global field operations.

Newell most recently served as executive vice president of global field operations and customer success at Proofpoint. During her tenure there, she established the company as one of the top five leaders in the cybersecurity market. She joined Proofpoint from Polycom where she served as executive vice president of global sales. In addition, she has held senior leadership positions at Juniper Networks and Cisco.

Brown and Newell report to Informatica CEO Anil Chakravarthy.
