What is Color Night Vision Technology? Color Night Vision is an advanced night vision technology that is superior to traditional infrared (black and white) technology. This type of light, however, falls outside of the visible light portion of the electromagnetic spetrum where colors can be seen. So the sensor of the security camera does not actually detect visible light. It instead measures the light intensity, which is why night vision is seen as black and white.
