Point72 Announces New Head Capital Development and Investor Relations


Point72 Asset Management, L.P. (Point72) has named Laura Sterner to Head Capital Development and Investor Relations for the Firm, CEO and President Steven A. Cohen has announced.

Ms. Sterner will be responsible for leading the Firm's external capital activities and for building the Capital Development/Investor Relations team over the coming months.

"Laura was an integral part of our very successful 2018 capital raise," Mr. Cohen said. "She has been our primary point of contact with external investors and I am pleased to have her lead this function."

Ms. Sterner joined the Firm in 2015 as part of the Strategy Team. She then left Point72 to work at Stamford Harbor Capital where she worked to design the Firm's investor offering and develop an external investor base. Ms. Sterner returned toPoint72 earlier this year.



Beginning her career at Lehman Brothers (News - Alert) focused on Hedge Fund Research and Special Investments, Ms. Sterner then moved to focus on entrepreneurial ventures in and outside of the financial services industry. Before she joined Point72, Ms. Sterner advised large financial institutions as part of Navigant Consulting.

Ms. Sterner earned her B.B.A. in Business Honors and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
