Thomas P. Melcher Joins Glenmede as Associate Director of Investment ManagementGlenmede, a privately held and independently owned investment and wealth management firm with over $40 billion in assets under management, today announced the appointment of Thomas P. Melcher as Associate Director of Investment Management. In this new position, Melcher is responsible for the integration of investment process and client service. Working with senior leaders on the investment management and relationship management teams, he will also be responsible for professional training to maintain a market-leading level of investment expertise and client service. Melcher, who was also named Managing Director, reports to Peter Zuleba, Director of Investment Management for Glenmede. "Thom will help us continue to achieve our goals of delivering consistent outcomes to our clients," said Peter Zuleba. "Thom brings to Glenmede more than 25 years of investment excellence and experience navigating the demand for cutting-edge strategies and persoalized service." Melcher will be a voting member of the Investment Policy Committee, a member of the Private Wealth Operating Committee and the Private Wealth leadership team. Joining Glenmede from PNC (News - Alert), Melcher served most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for PNC Asset Management Group. He was previously the managing executive of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth, a unit dedicated to serving ultra-high net worth clients. Before joining Hawthorn in 2004, Melcher acted as the Chief Investment Officer for PNC Wealth Management in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. He was twice named a "Top 100 Wealth Advisor" in the nation by Worth and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business, economics and finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
