QuickBridge Announces Winners of National Small Business Week Contest

QuickBridge, a privately-held, leading financial services firm offering business loans to small- to mid-sized businesses nationwide, is pleased to announce and spotlight the winners of its 2018 National Small Business Week Contest.

QuickBridge's contest ran from Monday, April 23 through Friday, May 4. Individuals were asked to nominate their favorite small business or their own business through QuickBridge's social media channels-with a 100-word-or-less comment on why the business deserved recognition. The winners were selected by a panel of QuickBridge judges based on the value or intrigue of the entry. QuickBridge received an overwhelming number of nominations and ultimately announced the following five small businesses as winners:

DeBary, Florida-based MG Coffee Brews & Bites was nominated for its delicious coffee and pastries, and welcoming environment. The shop was started in 2016 by husband and wife pair Garth and Marina who realized there was a lack of coffee shops in their area that offered both excellent quality and top-notch customer service.

Located in Coal Center, Pennsylvania, Chloe and Me Candles owner Staci C. needed a way to earn income and stay home to care for her special needs daughter. She found a solution and great success creating ready-to-order, quality hand-poured soy blend candles, wax melts, and bath an body products.

Irvine, California-based, Wake Up to Beauty was founded in 2016 by Celeste and David after the pair acquired the assets of an all-natural beauty product line and opened their own in-house manufacturing facility. The pair now handles the manufacturing, selling, distribution, and marketing for two beauty brands that sell in big-name retailers nationwide. And their growing business continues to create jobs in the Orange (News - Alert) County community.

Located in Sacramento, California, Noah's Boytique owner Lindsay H. specializes in designing fashionable bodysuits for infant and toddler boys. She wasn't originally planning to sell her creations, but thanks to overwhelming popularity, Noah's Boytique now employs a dozen local moms to keep up with demand--providing them with a flexible schedule and kid-friendly work environment.

Costa Mesa, California-based, Orange County Wedding Dance owners Sara and Joe specialize in creating wedding first dances for couples and their families. As a married couple and global dance champions, the pair have the unique ability to create a genuine first dance that not only complements the couple but also brings out their personalities.

"Small businesses play a key role in our communities," said QuickBridge Director of Marketing Jenny Alonzo. "We are thrilled that through our QuickBridge Small Business Week contest, we were able to bring additional brand awareness and recognition to these creative, hardworking, and most-deserving businesses."
