Dellfer Deepens IOT Bench and Expands Executive Team

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dellfer, the IoT Security company, today announced the appointment of Tom Wallace as VP of Sales and Business Development and Ken Wante as VP of Engineering. Wallace will oversee Dellfer’s partnering and strategic sales efforts, and Wante the company’s product delivery as Dellfer prepares to launch its IoT security platform. Both executives will report directly to Dellfer founder and CEO, James Blaisdell.

“Dellfer has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the way cloud connected products are secured and both Tom and Ken’s 20+ combined years of embedded systems and IoT experience will help build the foundation for our success,” said Blaisdell. “I am thrilled to welcome Tom and Ken to the leadership team.”

Prior to joining Dellfer, Wallace led Strategic Enterprise Security Sales at Forcepoint for the Midwest, where he helped extend its penetration into Fortune 500 companies by evangelizing technologies such as cloud, mobility, Internet of Things (IoT) and other transformative technologies. Previously, Tom played key sales leadership roles at Eastern Research as Vice President of Sales, IBM and Mocana where he specifically focused on IoT-enabling security technologies across transportation, utility grid, smart city meter technology, mobile phones, building automation and government couter surveillance products. Additionally, Wallace has held enterprise cybersecurity sales positions at Cisco, Secure Computing, Netscreen and Tripwire to his 30+ year cybersecurity background.

“As a pioneer in IoT security, Dellfer will change the way manufacturers build products and secure their code against any hacking event including zero-day attacks,” said Wallace. “With a massive $29 billion market opportunity for IoT security over the next several years and differentiated technology, Dellfer is strongly positioned to be a leader in this market. I’m excited to join the company during this exciting time and build a world-class sales and business development team.”

Ken Wante joins from Blue Cedar Networks, where he was a key architect and Director of that company’s transformative mobile security gateway and application hardening products. Previously, Ken was a Technical Leader in Cisco Systems’ Security Business Unit where he was a chief architect for the company’s VPN technology and the 5585 series high-speed security appliances. Previously, Wante was a lead technical architect at Motorola and key engineer in Boston-area start-ups Big Band Networks and Altiga Networks.

“I’ve spent my career working on game changing technologies with massive scale impact. Dellfer has perhaps the biggest disruption potential and I’m excited to be part of the transformation,” said Wante.

Dellfer recently raised a $2.5 million seed round from DENSO to bring its innovative IoT security platform to the Connected and Autonomous Vehicle market. Dellfer’s inside-out code protection solution aims to make IoT connected devices unassailable from outside hackers and offers continuous cloud monitoring for real-time alerting of attempted hacks.
