Janney Montgomery Scott Selects Vestmark's Model Trading Service

Partnership provides outsourced model management, trading and rebalancing services to Janney Montgomery Scott. Launched in April 2018, the Service oversees $600 million in AUM across 50 managers and 75 strategies

WAKEFIELD, Mass., June 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vestmark, the leading provider of portfolio management software and services, is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with full-service wealth management, financial services, and investment banking firm Janney Montgomery Scott (“Janney”). Janney recently began using Vestmark’s turnkey Model Trading Service (MTS), offered through Vestmark Advisory Solutions (“VAS”, a wholly owned, Registered Investment Advisor subsidiary of Vestmark Inc.) to strengthen their managed account service offering.

Janney began using the VestmarkONE portfolio management technology platform in 2013 for portfolio management and trading. Most recently Janney Capital Management, Janney’s asset management arm, began distribution of their investment strategies on the Vestmark Manager Marketplace (VMM).  Now, VAS MTS will replace a third-party overlay manager.

Janney’s transition to Vestmark’s MTS addresses the firm’s desire to enhance its manager and advisor experiences while improving efficiency and lowering operational costs. Using the service, Janney managers are able to communicate portfolio changes in real-time  to the service team and receive precise execution of trde instructions. At the same time, Janney advisors benefit from improved coordination across multiple investment strategies, client portfolios, resulting in scalable account-level customization and tax-aware trading for clients’ portfolios.
