iQor Honored as Silver Stevie® Award Winner in 2018 American Business Awards®

iQor, the only global managed services provider embedded in the flow between product, people and services, today announced it was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the "Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year" category of the 16th Annual American Business Awards®, a premier business awards program for the U.S. market.

iQor (News - Alert) was recognized for its Sustainability 2020 initiative, a program implemented under the leadership of James Rodriguez, the company's first chief sustainability officer. Sustainability 2020 is designed to help companies adopt the principles of the circular economy and to control e-waste - electronic products nearing the end of their "useful life."

Since the launch of its Sustainability 2020 initiative, iQor has recycled more than 80 tons of metals, 7,500 tons of cardboard, 265 tons of plastic, 210 tons of foam and 970 tons of e-waste. iQor is unique in that it services both the customers and products of the world's leading technology brands. As the only company with an integrated service delivery model - connecting customer interactions, technical service, and analytics - iQor has 120 million service interactions a year and completes 20 million product repairs. This enables data gained from customer contacts to be shared across the customer-product ecosystem, facilitating repair and improving product design for fewer returns. iQor's integrated approach ultimately creates less waste and lower carbon emissions.

"iQor is on a mission for sustainability in support of a circular economy. We are not only striving toward zero-waste within our own company but also support some of the world's most innovative technology brands to adopt sustainable practices," said Hartmut Liebel, CEO of iQor.

More than 3,700 nomintions from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. iQor was nominated in the "Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year" category for more than 2,500 employees.

More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners.

"The nominations submitted for the 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
