Wrike Announces Winners of Inaugural Awards for Excellence in Management

Wrike, the collaborative work management software for high-performance teams, today announced the winners of the firm's inaugural Manager-X Awards for Excellence in Management. Winners were nominated by peers or direct reports at their respective companies and represent innovative approaches to management in five different categories: Routine-Work Automation, Predictability in Planning, Culture of Excellence, Excellence in Small Business Operations, and Cross-Team Collaboration.

The winners are:

  • Don Harris - Head of Support, Pluralsight - Routine Work Automation
  • Michael Anderson (News - Alert) - Co-Founder and CEO, Wonderist Agency - Excellence in Small Business Operations
  • Denise Teti - Marketing Director, Speedo USA - Predictability in Planning
  • Ashleigh Shapiro - Associate Director, Account Services, Metric Theory - ulture of Excellence
  • Katie Breen - Project Manager, Green Chef - Cross-Team Collaboration

Each winner has delivered consistent, high quality leadership for their respective brands during periods of rapid growth by exemplifying the principles of operational excellence in management. Wrike CEO Andrew Filev offered his congratulations to the winners. "Great managers mean so much to the people who work for them. They help their teams achieve healthy work/life balance, and cultivate their career growth. And for their firms, they drive extraordinary business results."

Filev cites a 2017 Harvard Business Review report which states firms that employ the best management practices average $15 million in additional profits as a leading reason Wrike created the Manager-X Awards. "Despite the demonstrably positive impact of competent management in companies, it's too often undervalued in organizations. With these awards, we aim to highlight companies and individuals who are leading by example, and building a culture of excellence in which growth and execution can thrive."

The 5 winners were chosen from a pool of 115 nominees from US companies. For more information, and to read interviews with the winners, please visit the winners announcement on Wrike's blog.
