Cog, SIEMonster Increase Security of Event Monitoring Platform for the Enterprise Market

Cog, makers of the world's most secure smartphone, today announced a partnership with SIEMonster in which Cog's D4 Secure platform will be embedded into SIEMonster's remote event monitoring appliances. This will offer defense-grade Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to enterprises around the world.

"This collaboration made immediate sense for our team," said Chris Rock, CEO and founder of SIEMonster. "SIEM is critically important for organizations looking to proactively manage their cybersecurity. Expanding the reach of SIEM to occur via mobile or connected IoT devices is the next natural step. Deploying Cog's technology ensures that no matter where our customers are executing their SIEM, the deep learning device will be at its most secure."

Cog's D4 Secure platform leverages modularity to isolate critical functions and services on connected devices. This approach proactively secures IoT devices by reducing the attack surface and increases reliability by eliminating single points of failure. The company's solution embeds the additional security features of double encryption, non-bypassable VPNs, nested VPNs, and secure boot to protect the kernel, data, and network on the device. The system can scale linearly and infinitely, thus reducing bottlenecks and preserving performance.

"We've seen increased pressure from the market to leverage SIEM platforms via mobile devices with higher-grade security than is currently available," added Patrick Hayes, Managing Director, Security Operations & MSS for Online Business Systems. "The solution that Cog and SIEMonster have developed addresses that need well beyond what is currently available otherwise in the market."

Both Cog and SIEMonster are part of the San Francisco Landing Pad created by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade (News - Alert)). The 90-day program, delivered in patnership with the AustCyber, the Australian Cyber Security Growth Network, helps market-ready startups grow their businesses by facilitating in-market business development, introductions to investors and mentor networks, and strategic partnership opportunities. The companies will demo their solutions on April 19 during the RSA (News - Alert) Conference in San Francisco.

"SIEMonster has done a tremendous job of building a product suite that offers best-in-class security event monitoring, even in the most remote locations," said Carl L. Nerup, CMO and Co-Founder of Cog. "Our shared goal was to turbocharge this effort by adding Cog's D4 Secure to provide defense-grade security as SIEMonster continues to focus on building the best SIEM appliances available."

The new devices are expected to be commercially available in the third quarter of 2018. For more information, visit: http://cog.systems/.

About Cog

Cog, the solution for securing IoT, has been preparing for the revolution in connected device architecture since 2014. The traditional architecture of IoT and smart devices creates a massive attack surface, forcing security policy to accept high risk, restricted access, which poses a burden on users. By coupling the same modularity techniques used in cloud computing with the fundamentals of security, trustworthiness, robustness, and adaptability to enable highly secure connected devices, Cog proactively delivers the assurance of defense-grade security for world governments, defense organizations, and corporate enterprises. In addition, the company now offers the first secure smartphone with the most certifications on the U.S. Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) list.

About SIEMonster

SIEMonster is the brainchild of a team of professional hackers with over 20 years' experience hacking into companies around the world. Using this experience, SIEMonster has built modern security SIEM tools for companies wanting to detect threats and risks to their organization. SIEMonster is an Enterprise-grade Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), built on scalable, open source components.

It all began when a global manufacturer detailed their frustrations at the exorbitant licensing costs of commercial SIEM products and asked whether we could build a SIEM to minimize these annual license fees. We thought that was a great idea, and set out to build a SIEM that we would also use. SIEMonster now provides SIEM products for Managed Security Providers (MSSP's) and Security Professionals around the world.
