Physicians' Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for hematology and oncology continuing medical education, has announced that renowned baseball radio and television personality, Ed Randall, will be the keynote speaker for New York GU: 11th Annual Interdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Congress® and Other Genitourinary Malignancies. The annual meeting will take place on March 24 at Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan.

During his keynote address, "Talking Baseball to Talking Cancer," Randall will discuss his mission to save men's lives. His speech will share the best ways to manage prostate cancer and will highlight the importance of regular physical examinations to catch the cancer in its beginning stages. He will also share his advocacy efforts to educate men across the country about the disease.

Ed Randall's name is synonymous with baseball. Renowned for his dynamic radio and TV interviews, Randall hosts his baseball nostalgia show, "Remember When" every Saturday morning at 8 on SiriusXM radio. In 2003, Ed founded Fans for the Cure, a nonprofit organization that promotes the importance of early detection of prostate cancer. The organization encourages men between ages 40 and 45 to discuss prostate cancer with their doctors. Fans for the Cure also raises awareness throug educational and support seminars, online and printed informational materials, cutting-edge research, and referrals to physicians.



Designed to share the latest advances in management of genitourinary malignancies, New York GU is a one-day event that provides a comprehensive educational platform for medical and clinical oncologists. Attendees will gain insight on topics such as optimal use of chemotherapeutic and local therapies, androgen-deprivation therapies, targeted therapies, radiopharmaceuticals and immunotherapies.
