TmaxSoft Expands Research and Development Team at Chicago Global Headquarters

TmaxSoft, a global software innovator for cloud, infrastructure, and legacy modernization, today announced an expansion in its research & development team in its Chicago headquarters. The team will focus on bringing additional compatibility to customers.

The Chicago headquarters is an ideal location because of the region's talent pool and central location. The additional development staff will support the company's global expansion while supporting customers across the Americas, EMEA, APAC, as well as South Korea.

"Building our research and development teams in Chicago makes sense given our focus on expanding globally and in North America," said John Yun, Global Chief Technology Officer of TmaxSoft. "Chicago draws the best pool of tech talent in the area, so we're well positioned to grow a top-notch team here."

TmaxSoft has been expanding its teams for additional support and development of key products, including OpenFrame and Tibero. The additional positions will include members across the globe to combine focused expertise with round-the-clock customer support.

"The research & development center in Chicago is another step in TmaxSoft's expansion across the globe," said Joshua Yulish, CEO of TmaxSoft. "We pride ourselves in providing our customers with 24/7 support, so we are enhancing this capability by having local teams available to provide the best service possible."

TmaxSoft relocated its global headquarters from Seoul, South Korea to Chicago in 2015 as part of a larger push to support its global customers.

"As the seat of our global headquarters, Chicago is the perfect location for us to establish additional services, including additional support, development, and round-the-clock service teams," said Paul Bobak, Vice President of Global Field Technical Services.

OpenFrame is a mainframe rehosting service that allows customers to easily port their mainframe operations to open systems and the cloud. Tibero is a relational database management system (RDBMS) with a simple and flexible licensing model. The company will begin filling the new development positions in the Chicago office this year.
