Silvus Awarded US Navy Contract to Enable Wireless Distribution of Shipboard VideoLOS ANGELES, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Silvus Technologies, the leader in military-grade multi-antenna wireless communications, has been awarded Phase II of a Navy SBIR to improve Command and Control information sharing to warfighters on battleships. Commanders onboard ships rely on timely information to make crucial decisions to execute their warfare missions. Having the flexibility to view the information at any console, video wall, or secure portable ablet allows for Commanders and watch standers to make timely decisions based on having all information available when needed. "Silvus radios have been used for connecting SATCOM terminals to the command center several decks below on an active destroyer; our vision is to mature the technology to provide seamless wireless connectivity and situational awareness to warfighters anywhere within warships," said Mike Fitz, Chief Technology Officer for Silvus Technologies.
