Banks Partner to Award $32K to Mississippi Delta Area Financial Literacy Program

Trustmark National Bank, State Bank and Trust and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $32,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP (News - Alert)) funds to Mississippi Community Financial Access Coalition (MCFAC) to help the organization continue to provide financial literacy programs to Delta-area individuals and families.

Local dignitaries and bank representatives will attend a check presentation at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the E-City Center Building at Jackson State University at 1400 J.R. Lynch Street in Jackson, Mississippi. The media is encouraged to attend.

MCFAC will use the funds for organizational capacity building, hiring grant-writing consultants and market research studies.

The structure of the PGP allows FHLB Dallas member institutions like Trustmark National Bank and State Bank and Trust to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas will match at a 3:1 ratio.
